The new gold
It all began with OROFIN®. In the early 1930s, Konrad Kurz applied for a patent under the name OROFIN® for the very first Hot Stamping foil coated with genuine gold, in what is referred to as the sputtering process. The former gold beater KURZ thus laid the foundation for its global group of companies. Our strong golden roots have inspired us to call our customer magazine OROFIN® (‘fine gold’). Today, LEONHARD KURZ has more than 5,500 employees. The group currently develops and produces surface finishings in 12 factories in Europe, Asia, and the USA according to uniform quality and environmental standards.
